The Cat’s Meow is an 18th-century hand-hewn post-and-beam farmhouse that still sits on approximately 1 acre of land with a small barn, vegetable garden, and fruit trees.

The farm once owned all of the fields on and across both its street and the road to the back. Fronted by a fieldstone wall, it is the only historic house on its road, and the fireplaces, exposed beams, and some of the floor boards date from the 18th-century.

Gorgeous spot! Comfortable and clean, spacious and lovely. Great attention to detail by the hosts. We loved the photos on the wall for sale. We loved how there was pride in local activities and art! Jacqueline was also incredibly responsive, which was highly appreciated. This house was also packed with all things to make it a happy stay from milk in the fridge (!) to a coloring sketch book for our toddler. We felt completely at home and would be happy to visit again.

We had a wonderful stay at Jacqueline's place. It was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. Everything about check in and check out was easy. Jacqueline accommodated our request to check out later. We were only there for one night but it was a very good experience and if we come back to the area, we would definitely stay there again. Highly recommend it.

The Cat’s Meow was the perfect place for our group visiting Bard College. The historic home has such character and a wonderful coziness while still giving plenty of space to spread out for privacy when needed. The cat motif is adorable and adds to the charm. Jacqueline is the perfect host - as she met us upon arrival with a tour and welcomed us warmly. She was easy to communicate with and was accommodating with our early check in and check out times. We felt like we were staying in a friend’s home that was well stocked with everything needed for a relaxing stay. We will be return guests for sure!

We had a fantastic summer weekend at Jacqueline’s house, which is even nicer in the pictures than in person. The house is huge, and having been built in the late 1700’s, it maintains its antique charm without feeling old - original wooden beams, yet modern and recently renovated bathrooms, and no rickety floors. Jacqueline was quick to answer any questions we had before and during our stay. She went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed, even getting a high chair and pack n play for our daughter (and for future guests who would need these things). It was also great to have a piano in the house, and a big outdoor space with a deck and grill. Thanks again Jacqueline for a lovely weekend!

This was a wonderful place to say! I can't say enough about it. I have to say, I did consider passing this home up, because it was advertised as cat-friendly, and I thought it might smell like cats. I love cats! But was worried. I didn't need to be. It's perfectly clean and no animal smells. It's an old, very cool building, and is full of antiques and very charming. Jackie has thought of everything you can possibly need--and I've never seen a better-outfitted AirBnB. Every toiletry you could possibly need is there! Jackie even brought us over a bottle of wine, as she hadn't stocked us with juice and water (which was totally unnecessary anyway). 2 huge bathrooms and a great deck. Stay here! You'll be so glad you did. We'll be back!
